Want to be your own boss and work the hours you want?
The MCEA is not only the UK’s largest network of independent caravan service engineers, but we are also the UK’s leading training provider of courses in mobile caravan and motorhome servicing. If you are a keen caravanner yourself and want to retrain to become a self employed mobile caravan engineer, take a look at the details below to discover our regular courses and their content.
The MCEA was founded in 2005 to provide training courses for those who wish to pursue careers as self-employed mobile engineers, able to service, maintain and repair touring caravans and motor homes on site, or at owner’s homes. The instructors have many years’ experience in all aspects of caravan servicing, maintenance and repairs.
MCEA also provide training for engineers who already work within the caravan sector. Contact us for further information.
As there is a growing demand for mobile (as opposed to workshop-based) repairs and servicing, the potential to make a good living exists for enthusiastic caravanners who want to train to meet this increasing demand.
Emergency callouts to sites catering for the touring fraternity also provides an interesting and rewarding part of the overall facility offered by a mobile caravan engineer.
Membership of the Association will be free for the first year, following successful completion of the training course, and will enable the member to take advantage of ongoing advice and technical support. A regular newsletter will keep members informed of technical changes and updated on current developments in the industry.
Courses are held at our own Training facilities in Wiltshire and are of 5 days duration (from Monday to Friday)
Courses are held in small groups to ensure adequate hands-on training and attention to individual needs. Theory and practical demonstrations will be featured.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for a most enjoyable week down at MCEA. The course was very informative, and also very enjoyable. You made it a fun learning week, and although there is a lot to take in over the 5 days, it was made easier with the way you put the course over. At my age, I have been on a number of varied courses, I have learnt lot's of things, BUT the big difference with your courses, are quite simple, you are still out there doing the job. A very big thank you for making it so much easier and also quite a fun course to attend. I would be more than happy to recommend the MCEA training course to anyone, just give them my number and I'll be happy to chat to anyone who is thinking of attending.
